This is what 40 is all about!
Did I do anything fancy?
Nope. In fact there were no showers to be had today.
The day was full of what it’s always full of:
- Changing diapers
- Making meals
- Nursing
- Helping baby nap and stay napping
- wiping tons of pee pee and poop
- browsing my iOS devices and working in the moments in between
- feeling exhausted and sleep deprived
We did do a little excursion today over to the Post Office to pick up a package that my Mom sent over. That was fun.
More panties and warm socks in the house!
The sun was glorious.
The celebration was in the midst of the mundane. I’ll always have the mundane. The special and magical lives inside it.
I wouldn’t change it for the world. My favorite place to be is exactly where I am right now.
I am content :)
That doesn’t mean that there’s not more…more to come…more to strive toward…and to create more beauty.
I can’t wait.
Oh. I do long for the time when I can again sleep through the night. When those days begin again, life will be crazy amazing!
