A Bit of the Saturday Experience NaVloPoMo09 Day 14 from Elsie Escobar on Vimeo.
First I have to say that I’m pretty amazed I’m keeping up with this whole posting a video every day business for NaVloPoMo :) I think a lot has to do with my new camera and how well it’s been working for me. The workflow for editing quick vids is very easy.
Today’s video is just a little bit of my Saturday morning :)

Pretty easily, at least here in Pittsburgh :)
Green Circle Farm raises eggs, chicken, beef, lamb, and turkey that are always:
•
•GMO free
•Raised on pasture
•Raised without antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, or herbicides

It was really lovely outside today. There was a chill in the air so you did have to bundle up a bit, but the mid 50’s sunny weather made the Fall so striking. Hunter and I haven’t had an opportunity to go sit at one of our favorite spots ever since the weather changed, as it was too chilly to sit out there and eat.

A Great Big Thank You! from Elsie Escobar on Vimeo.
It was one of those days. My daughter has not slept well for about 5 days now, which means that I haven’t slept well for 5 days. I’ve gotten pretty adept at being sleep deprived but NOT this much! I could barely think today, and my energy was sorely lacking. What’s beautiful about days is that they are just that, days. They grow, they shift, they change, and often times you may just get a little light when you least expect it :DEver since Hunter was born Sesame Street has been my almost daily companion, even when she was too little to even know what anything beyond Mom. I’m thankful to have programs like Sesame Street out there, they are smart, empowering and quite entertaining, with lots of lovable monsters. Oh how I love monsters!Happy 40th Anniversary Sesame Street! Thank you from a very tired Mom :D

Even though today wasn’t crazy and rushed, I honestly forgot to take out my camera and video tape anything…I took more still shots today. It was quite a lovely fall day. In lieu of a current video, how about a teeny gem from about a month ago, when my Mom and Dad came to visit our little family?

Sunday Moments from Elsie Escobar on Vimeo.
Moments, flashes of a gorgeous November afternoon at Grandma’s house. It was in the upper 60s, with sunny skies and not a cloud in the sky.
The afternoon was just as lovely. There is something to be said for moments, especially moments of quiet stillness between family. Love. Navlomopo Day 8!

There is a belief shared by some cultures that photography has the power to steal a soul… imprisoning it within its amalgam of polyester, celluloid, salts and gelatin.
What do you believe?
………
Tell me, how do you see yourself? Is it hard for you to step in front of the camera? Be brave and show your self. In truthiness, in art, in mystique… whatever your comfort. The self you put out there might be the one you most want to be. Today you might be the peace before the storm or the rage after the rain. You might be humbled, blessed, joyous, tired, overwhelmed, or bored beyond belief. Discover something about yourself by peering into your own lens. There are alot of stunning self portrait photographs in the Shutter Sister’s collection. Have a peek… and know this:
This is one of my favorite blogs. It’s called Shutter Sisters. Every time that I have a chance to catch up with my Google Reader I come upon deep and beautiful inspiration!
